UV disinfection Process
MicroTek UV based disinfection systems are a compact footprint process that utilises multi frequency Ultraviolet or UV energy that is found in the electromagnetic spectrum between visible light and x-rays and can be best described as invisible radiation. In order to kill microorganisms, the UV rays must actually strike the cell. UV energy penetrates the outer cell membrane, passes through the cell body and disrupts its DNA preventing reproduction.
Plasma Lamp TechnologyUV Disinfection Of Healthcare Establishments
The MicroTek plasma lamp treatment systems comprise of a simple yet effective UV lamp or lamps depending on the size of the system powered by Microwave energy.
As there is no media in the unit the system does not require any on-going chemical costs or disposal of contaminated adsorption media.

Advanced-Microwave-Technologies for the Environment.........
Overview:
MicroTek Processes have developed a number of unique Microwave powered UV systems for the disinfection of air and surfaces. The increase in airborne and surface organisms such as MRSA and Clostridium Difficile has increased the awareness of such diseases and the need for a practical solution.
The MicroTek UV disinfection systems not only kills the bacteria and spores associated with these viruses but using Microwaves to excite the lamps the microwaves also aid the inactivation and destruction of the microorganisms, mould spores and viral contaminants.
In trials during a 20 minute exposure test MicroTeks system achieved 100% kill rate on MRSA from a starting level of 106,which HPV fogging failed to do in 2 hours. Over the same testing times from similar contamination levels, the MicroTek system gave more than double the percentage reduction achieved by fogging for Clostridium Difficile with a figure greater than 96%.
The UV disinfection Process:
MicroTek UV based disinfection systems are a compact footprint process that utilises multifrequency Ultraviolet (UV) light. The technology harnesses the UV light in the UV-C frequency.
Ultraviolet or UV energy is found in the electromagnetic spectrum between visible light and x-rays and can be best described as invisible radiation.
In order to kill microorganisms, the UV rays must actually strike the cell. UV energy penetrates the outer cell membrane, passes through the cell body and disrupts its DNA preventing reproduction.
The treatment of Operating Theatres, Wards and Waiting rooms is especially important in combating these infectious Diseases.
